Asthma and Allergy Awareness Month
This May, join the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America as they declare May as Asthma and Allergy Awareness month! With over 50 million Americans suffering from allergies and 24 million suffering from asthma, most of us have a family member, friend, classmate, or co-worker that suffers from one or both of these diseases, so this month is the perfect month to raise awareness and show your support.
During the month of May, the AAFA will be hosting a slew of fun events all across the nation. If you would like to participate, you are welcome to connect with AAFA online or in person.

Summer Camp 101
With the school year coming to an end, many students are eager to trade in their books for sports equipments, camping gear and outdoor fun at summer camps. This fun and exciting time is great for creating memories, learning new skills and forming lasting friendships.
If you’re ready to sign your child up for summer camp, and they have food allergies, it is best to have a plan with the camp administration and staff. One useful tool is the Food Allergy & Anaphylaxis Emergency Care Plan, a downloadable guide to keep on hand and to share in case your child needs assistance. Ultimately, education and providing information on how to handle and prevent allergic reactions are ways to stay proactive so that your child may have an enjoyable camping experience.
Design Extravaganza
Have a summer project in the works and need some design inspiration? Hopefully, you were able to catch us at the International Contemporary Furniture Fair, May 14-17 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York. This show features contemporary design, luxury interiors and high end furniture for those looking for some pizzazz in their home, or perhaps a centerpiece for conversation.
